This letter template is intended for circumstances where an employee is being dismissed and you do not wish him or her to work out his or her notice period (i.e. you wish to put them on Garden Leave for the duration of the notice period). This letter template should be used in cases where the employee does not have post-termination restrictions in his or her contract of employment with you. The template also makes the assumption that correct procedures have been followed in accordance with the ACAS Code of Practice #1 in the timeline leading up to the decision to dismiss.
