The national minimum wage applies to nearly all workers and sets hourly rates below which pay must not fall. The following table gives the current and future NMW rates effective from 1st April 2022.

The development rate can also apply to workers aged 22 and above who are in their first 6 months in a new job with a new employer and who are also receiving accredited training.
